Player of the Month- Graham Hopkins

Dig In Baseball would like to congradulate 13U player Graham Hopkins on being named Player of the Month for May 2016.

Graham plays on Coach Kramer's 13U team and is in his first season in a Dig In uniform.

"Graham simply loves to compete" says Dig In Co-Owner/Founder Steve Ballance.  "He is an athlete first who plays the game hard and loves to get after it, it's a joy to coach him on the field", continues Coach Ballance.

Graham also plays football and basketball and that toughness and athleticism on the gridiron and court, translates well to the baseball field.

Coach Kramer's team has done well in tournament and league play this season and has handled the poor weather conditions well.  They take full advantage of the indoor facility and many of the kids on the team come in to work out on their off days.

Because of his toughness and athleticism, Graham can play any position on the field.  This aspect of his game makes an ideal player for any coach at the High School level, which is often a challanging transition for players.

Graham on his favorite parts about playing for Dig In:

"I like the fact that every practice or lesson, I learn something and become a better player"

Coach Kramer on Graham:

"When Graham is on, I know our team is on. He picks everybody up and is a great leader. From a coaching perspective, you can really appreciate his leadership skills and the way he carries himself"

When Graham is on the field or the court he enjoys  learning about the human body and exercise science.  He is a "straight A" student in the class room and also enjoys working out in his spare time.

Congrats again to Graham Hopkins on being named Player of the Month!
